the quirky and radio friendly 'action figures' track makes a stance against the state
of the human condition. machine boy describes the single release as "a light-
machine boy's musical influences include kraftwerk and jean michel jarre. he brings his knowledge of drumming into his compositions and focuses on pushing boundaries, giving the tracks an edgy, modern feel.
as an unsigned artist with downloadable material, machine boy is now eligible for the official singles chart, due to the recent changes in the rules governing chart entry. from january 1st 2007 an artist is no longer required to provide a physical format to partner a download release. any downloadable track that sells well has a chance at chart entry.
'building a better boy' follows the release of the 'depression' ep, which attracted the attention of mtv's real world who selected the track "sleepless' to feature in a 'real world episode in 2005.
